Craven Cottage
Fulham were founded in 1879, which makes them the oldest of London’s professional clubs, and they have played at Craven Cottage since 1896. It is the only ground in the country with a listed pavilion in the corner and a river running past one touchline, and the walk to it through Bishop’s Park is the best approach to any stadium in London.
The Johnny Haynes Stand is the oldest surviving football stand in the Football League and is Grade II listed. Opposite it the Riverside Stand was rebuilt and reopened, with the Hammersmith End and the Putney End behind the goals. Putney Bridge on the District line is the closest station.
