The 2026 BMW PGA Championship returns to Wentworth Club from 18-20 September 2026. An annual men’s professional golf tournament, the winner of the tournament is given an exemption into that season’s U.S. Open and the next three Open Championships.

Monday–Tuesday: Practice rounds, fine-tuning their games on the championship course. These days are more relaxed, with fewer spectators and a focus on preparation.
Wednesday: Final practice rounds and media commitments, with players getting their last full look at the course before competitive play begins.
Thursday: The tournament officially gets underway with Round 1. All 156 players (typical field size) start their bid for the title.
Friday: Round 2 takes place, after which a cut is made, reducing the field for the weekend.
Saturday: Round 3, often referred to as “moving day,” is where players position themselves for a final push up the leaderboard.
Sunday: The final round, where the winner of the BMW PGA Championship is decided amid a strong atmosphere and growing crowds.
